This plant-based blend is made up of 60% linen and 40% cotton slub. Linen is a natural fibre made from the flax plant and has been prevalent in the textile industry for centuries. When twisted together, these fibres make a strong and durable yarn perfect for knitting and weaving. The fabric produced will be light and drapey but structured, with a rustic appearance. Linen and cotton fibres have different dye uptakes, resulting in the yarn having a two-tone look similar to a marl. Wet finishing enhances the handle.
